GMA Network Executive Annette Gozon-Valdes defended Kapuso writer Suzette Doctolero against criticisms as the latter gained flak after commenting against Angel Locsin.
Gozon said that Doctolero is not a troll and she entitled to her rights to express her opinions.
“In my opinion, Suzette researches extensively before she posts. She is courageous just as Angel is. We admire them both for their courage to speak up for what they believe in,” Gozon said.
“I support freedom of speech and respect for all opinions and views,” she added.
Recently, Angel and Suzette got into a social media feud.
It began when Suzette attempted to disprove Angel’s statement on how ABS-CBN helped the actress during her downtimes.
The Kapuso writer said that although she admires Angel’s courage, she perceives that the actress is exaggerating.
“I admire your courage pero huwag exag. Kumita ka ng sobrang laki sa GMA. Malaki net worth mo nung lumipat ka sa kabila. As in sobrang laki!” Suzette said.
She also questioned Angel’s claim of having no stock investment in ABS-CBN. However, the actress already clarified the issue.
Suzette and Neil Arce, Angel’s fiancé, also had heated online arguments but the actress asked Neil to stop the debate as people might think that it is a battle between networks.
Wag mo nang patulan. people might think na this is just a battle bet networks & not the whole film & TV industry. That’s just one sad opinion of an artist na walang pakielam sa kapwa kasi comfortable sya sa ngayon. I ❤️ GMA ppl. 1 tao lang naman ang bad sakin dun pero wala na now https://t.co/kdJRt619os
