Zamboanga Rep. Divina Grace Yu has drawn flak from the netizens after voting “Yes” to the committee resolution denying the ABS-CBN franchise.
In her social media post, Yu proudly shared her vote on the ABS-CBN franchise application even saying she’s a die-hard ABS-CBN fan.
However, after considering the 12 hearings she said with a heavy heart she voted against the Kapamilya network.
“But after attending series of committee hearings and after reading the resolution of the committee, with a heavy heart,
“I vote YES to the resolution DENYING the application of ABS-CBN’s application for a new franchise.”
She also added that she hopes, another big company will replace ABS-CBN and absorb the 11k employees that will stand to lose their jobs.
“With my vote, I fervently pray that another big company, loyal to our country, will be given a new franchise who will absorb the artists of ABS-CBN including the 11,000 displaced employees and will continue the programs of Channel 2 para padayon atong mga ka lipay Sa pagtan-aw sa maong mga programa.”
