‘Hindi ko ginagawa ‘to para mang-away’: Arnell Ignacio hits back at Jennylyn Mercado

Jennylyn supposedly targeted Arnell in her previous tweets wherein she asked if there are any qualifications needed in order to comment on political issues.

Arnell Ignacio has hit back once again at Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado after she spoke against the current administration.

In his latest statement, Arnell insisted that he is not fighting with the actress and said he was only giving advice to her. On his Facebook account, he previously gave unsolicited advice to all the artists who are speaking up against the current administration. He mentioned one of Jennylyn’s tweet.

Gaano ba kabigat ang gusto mong ipaglaban to put your career sa line?

Jennylyn has been vocal on social media for the past few months about issues concerning the government. This began when she started speaking out about ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal and how congress was determined to shut it down anyway.

Jennylyn supposedly targeted Arnell in her previous tweets wherein she asked if there are any qualifications needed in order to comment on political issues.

Arnell explained that he was just giving a reminder to the actress for she might destroy her image and showbiz career.

The staunch Duterte supporter also criticized the Kapuso actress for asking what the current administration has done with the billions of borrowed funds to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.

Why do we have to do that? Will this help?

Hindi ko ginagawa ‘to para mang-away, ha? It’s a reminder nga, e. Bakit mo gugustuhin pang gawin yun? E, ano ba ang plano mo? Actually, it’s a reminder sa mga artistang mahusay naman ang kanilang mga katayuan bilang artista. Kasi, ano ba yung purpose mo? Kasi, kung gusto mong malaman, e, di i-research natin. I know it can be very dangerous sa mga celebrities na i-expose mo ang sarili mo sa ganyan. I-subject mo ang sarili mo to the scrutiny of people na maaaring magulat.”

He ended, “Ba’t ka nagtatanong ng ganyan?”

Arnell was a former PAGCOR and OWWA official as appointed by Duterte.
