Fructuoso went viral after he posted the photo on his Instagram and captioned it: “Times like these hindi pwedeng kaartehan ang paiiralin!
Because of this, many assumed that the actor was driving the tricycle as a means of earning money.
The actor’s Instagram post gained positive response from netizens, saying that the actor is a very good example to not demean jobs like tricycle drivers.

Pleased with the netizens’ positive response, the actor clarified the assumption that he became a tricycle driver.
On his Facebook account, the actor verified that he didn’t start working as a tricyle driver, he even joked that his route is not in Cavite but rather in Batangas were the fares are higher,
Akalain mong p200 ispesyal hanggang Rowbeensons?”
He then reminded everyone to never underestimate the job of tricycle drivers, even narrating an experience of his friend to serve as an inspiration to the youth.
Netizens who parents are tricycle drivers couldn’t help but feel touched by Eric’s post.
Eric Fructuoso became famous in the early 1990s as part of the ‘Gwapings’ teen boy group alongside Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jomari Yllana, and later Jao Mapa.
