Kapamilya star Liza Soberano has committed to supporting Star Magic employees who lost their jobs due to the retrenchment program of ABS-CBN.
As Congress decided not to renew the broadcast franchise of ABS-CBN, the media giant began its retrenchment program that caused the loss of jobs of many workers.
Its subsidiaries and TV programs also shut down, including Star Magic, the talent management arm of the network.
With this, Star Magic artist Liza Soberano sent her message through a video that was posted by Star Magic PR head Thess Gubi on Instagram.
She sent a message of sympathy and thanks to the employees whom she has worked with since 2011.
“First of all I just want to say thank you so much. Thank you for the friendship, for the guidance, for everything that you have done for the Star Magic family, for me and for Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) and Tita Mariole Alberto. I know a lot of you guys are going through a really hard time right now and it just breaks my heart to think about it. But I just want you guys to know that there’s always a rainbow after the storm as cliche as it may sound. It’s true and this may all be part of God’s big plan for all of us. And I just want to wish you guys nothing but the best,” she said.
Liza then assured them that she is very willing to support them for their future endeavors in life.
“If you guys ever need support, I’m here to give it in any way or form. If you guys have new businesses that you guys are planning on opening up or new ventures that you guys are looking into, I want to show my 100% support all the way through just please let me know how to,” she said.

She also believes that the Kapamilya network will be back on air and all of them will be reunited sooner.
“I don’t believe this is the end for all of us. I believe that ABS-CBN will one day come back stronger and better than ever and I believe that all of us will be together again,” Liza said.
Liza is one of the Kapamilya celebrities who stood by the network amidst the ABS-CBN franchise issue.
As early as January, she already joined netizens in pleading with Duterte to renew the franchise of their network.
Despite the closure of the network, Ogie Diaz, the manager of Liza Soberano, assured fans that the actress along with her boyfriend Enrique Gil, will not shift to another network unless it will be ABS-CBN itself who will tell them to do so.
