Kristine Hermosa was one of the 20+ Kapamilya Stars who paid tribute to Johnny Manahan on his 50th Anniversary In showbiz.
Through a video, Kristine shared her fondest memories with Mr. M, not mentioning a specific moment but pointing out the fact that people are afraid of him.
“I can’t think of any specific or particular incident [but] one thing was constant before in our workplace, lahat ng tao kinakabahan pag andyan na si Mr. M o pag may sinabi na si Mr. M. Ganun na lang yung respeto sa kanya ng mga tao and ako lagi akong kinakabahan.”
She even admitted that she was very scared whenever she was called by Mr. M because she knows that she will receive a talk on whatever she did wrong.
“Actually lalo na akong kinakabahan palagi pag andyaan siya dahil alam ko makakatanggap ako ng correction pag pinatawag niya ako.”
But despite the strictness, Hermosa believes Mr. M’s ‘corrections’ and criticism is what build her as an actress and her career in show business, “Through the years, I’ve learned to accept the corrections nya sa akin how he loves me kase ganun naman talga ang mga tatay sa mga anak nila.”
“Mr. M maybe a man of few words but he is full of wisdom, discernment, and integrity kaya ang daming nagmamhal sayo Mr. M. syemre sasabihin kong unang una na ako dyan sa listahan na yan.”
She hopes that Mr. M will stay safe and be healthy amid the ongoing pandemic, “Lagi kitang na mi-miss and know that you are very much cherished please. I just pray that you always be healthy. I love you so much and thank you for everything. Alam mo na yon.”
She also left advice for people who will be working with Mr. M.
“Kaya kayo kapag pinansin kayo ni Mr. M gustuhin mo na kapag pina galitan ka niya kaysa hindi ka niya papansinin at all dahil ibig sabihin trouble ka na.”
“Happiest 50th anniversary Mr. M I love you.”
Mr. M is known for molding the biggest stars of today. He is also an actor, director, writer, star-builder, magic-maker, and ultimately, Star Magic’s one and only father.
