At the blogger’s conference for her 11th digital streamer platinum awards, Hugot Queen, Moira Dela Torre confirmed why she stayed with her ASAP family amidst after ABS-CBN’s shutdown and then free TV return.
When asked why she stayed with ASAP and not go to the new show Sunday Noontime Live, she said that people from both shows are her family.
“You know at the end of the day po its a family po whether they’re in SNL or here in ASAP. We are a family,” said Moira.
She then added that she was emotional upon returning to ASAP after eight months of quarantine. Moira also said that she didn’t feel any bad blood between the ASAP family.
Then, Moira added that she supports the SNL talents and staff and she was just grateful to have found a family.
“Actually, first time ko po bumalik sa ASAP after 8 months in quarantine yesterday. So sobra po yung height nung emotions ko. And, when I got there, I felt no bad blood at all. What I found was just family I know that I support SNL. I support every person there. They’re all family to us. I’m just so grateful to be part of a family,” said Moira.
She then recounted seeing no live audience and less staff upon her return but was happy to see the audience on screen.
“The last time I was on ASAP, may audience pa kami. Punong puno pa yung studio. And galing din po akong America so medyo wala kong ineexpect at all kasi wala eh. I get to the studio yesterday nabawasan na yung tao tapos wala ng audience. Tapos nakita ko po yung audience namin na nasa screen,” said Moira.
Moira also added that despite what happened with the Kapamilya network, she still has a family to back to and that they are still celebrated.
“Sobra po kong naiyak but at the same time natuwa. Because after everything that’s happened Kapamilya pa rin. May pamilya pa rin. Celebrated pa rin. So yun po sobrang emotional,” said Moira.
Moira made history as the Original Pilipino Music artist to garner the most digital platinum certification, with 11 in total.
She received her 8th platinum awards for her album Malaya, two platinum awards for her single Ikaw at Ako, and the platinum award for her latest album Patawad on ASAP Natin To’s October 18th episode.
