Kapamilya star Kim Chiu responded to a netizen who said that she was stupid for exposing herself through her YouTube vlogs.
The actress gave her response during her vlog where she read mean comments about her to mark her YouTube milestone of reaching 2 million subscribers.
On Saturday, November 21, Kim posted her vlog where she thanked all her supporters of her YouTube journey.
“Thank you for joining me in this journey as I show you the personal side of KIM! Thank you for appreciating my videos. I hope you get to enjoy and somehow be inspired by some of them❤️ Cheers to more and more subscribers, videos, content and more more laughter and a few tears (kung meron man) hahaha again, thank you everyone!” she wrote in the captions.
“I was very hesitant to do this pero FUN pala siya!!!! Watch the video and hope you’ll like it!!!😁 As Gandhi says, “no one can hurt you, without your permission.” That’s it everyone!!! Thank you so much and ENJOY THE VIDEO!❤️” she added.
In the video, one of the netizens called the actress “tanga” (stupid) for exposing herself.
“Na-expose mo ang sarili mo Kim Chiu tanga ka talaga,” the netizen wrote.
Kim didn’t take the comment to heart as she replied saying that there are no stupid people. She explained that people just tend to do mistakes that’s why they may seem stupid. But she said that those mistakes will teach a person a valuable life lesson.
“Wala naman talagang tanga. Sadyang nagkakamali lang. At saka ‘yung mga pagkakamali na ‘yon it will help you grow. It will thicken your character in life. It will make you strong ‘yung mga pagkakamali natin. Kaya tayo binigyan ng pagkakamali para matututo tayo. So huwag tanga agad,” she said.
Other netizens also mentioned her previous confusing statement about the “classroom” analogy which eventually led to Kim’s release of the viral song “Bawal Lumabas.” The netizen mocked Kim’s analogy and said that the actress just seized the opportunity to earn money from the song.
“Kay gulo-gulo ng isip ni kim. Na alog siguro. Ok na sana ‘yung thought, sa analogy siya napuruhan. Wrong [segue]. Mali ang terminology na nagamit nya. Hahahaha. K lang ‘yan kim yumaman ka na naman ulit,” the netizen said.
Kim became a little emotional as she explained that the earnings she had from the song were donated to the people. She said that she did not get rich with money, but with good deeds.
“Dinonate ko naman ‘yung mga kinita ko roon. So ‘di man ako yumaman as yumaman sa bulsa. Yumaman naman ako sa good deed. So, that’s more important. Naiiyak ako. Naging 2 million ang yaman ko dahil dumami kayo. Basta masaya ako. I’m very grateful and blessed to share kung anuman ‘yung nakuha ko sa pagkakamali na ‘yon,” she stated.
She also responded to a comment from a netizen who said that she was a coward for turning the comments off in some of her YouTube videos. She mentioned that she only does this because there are times when people can be too unbearable in the comment section.
She added saying that she is just a person who could still get hurt and affected by other people’s words.
“Kung i-turn off man namin ‘yung comments section namin, ‘yun ay tao din naman kami. ‘Di ba sometimes hindi mo na ma-control ‘yung tao kasi minsan sa comment box mo nag-aaway-away na silang lahat,” she said.
“Pero tao rin kami nasasaktan. Like you, like everybody else. Sadyang kilala niyo lang kami kasi ito ‘yung line of work namin. We chose to entertain people — dancing, acting, singing, hosting para maaliw naman kayo sa amin,” she added.
