Bilang residente ng Antipolo, ikinasusuklam ko ang pagmamaltrato na inaabot ni Alexis at ng mga tulad niya’ng walang laban sa ganito’ng kahayupang nangyayari sa araw-araw. @jetvalle #YESToSOGIEBill

Journalist Kevin Manalo also reacted with a question to the detractors of the SOGIE equality bill. He asked how they can justify Aling Susan’s unprovoked actions against the transwoman in the video.
So how do anti-SOGIE people justify Aling Susan’s untoward behavior to a trans woman?
Clearly, it’s gender-based violence.

There are so much more of these @tiasolete than you and your churchmates know. Hindi niyo ‘to nararanasan kaya wala kayong karapatan to act as if kayo ang oppressed. IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU.
Sana bago kayo maging makadiyos, maging makatao muna kayo. https://t.co/iAkBJZ7m1X

If passed, the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression equality bill will protect members of the LGBTQ+ community from gender-based discrimination. As an example, Aling Susan’s violent actions against Alexis solely based on her gender expression would result in a fine of P100,000 to P500,000 and an imprisonment of one to six years if proven guilty.
