Willie Revillame, host of GMA Network’s host of Wowowin-Tutok To Win, went viral last Thursday, January 21, after he expressed his desire to bring Johnny Manahan or “Mr. M” to the Kapuso Network.
The TV host urged the director and star builder to come work for him on his show.

According to Revillame, Manahan is someone he admires since the director gave him all the help he needed back when he was still building his career.
He also stated that with the knowledge and expertise of Manahan would benefit people at Wowowin-Tutok To Win.
Moreover, in hopes of making Manahan transfer to the network, Revillame said that his initial “W” if reversed, would be “M”.
Meanwhile, Manahan is open to the possibility of him working for GMA Network but not immediately. The director is now a freelancer after his show at TV5 ended.
“No. Right now, no,” said Manahan.
“But that doesn’t mean that I’ve ruled it out. Kasi pwedeng mangyari yun,” he added.
Aside from Mr. M, Revillame has recruited Edgar “Bobot” Mortiz to work for him. Last November 2020, Revillame announced that Direk Bobot is now part of his show.

Johnny Manahan, who was the former director of ABS-CBN’s Sunday variety show ‘ASAP’ for 25 years was also the head of the talent arm, Star Magic for 28 years.
Willie and Mr. M started working together on ABS-CBN’s 1998 noontime variety show “Magandang Tanghali Bayan“. Willie, however, left the show in 2001. In the same year, they also had a sitcom titled, “Richard Loves Lucy” starring Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres.
In 2005, Revillame, who had established himself as a host, worked with Manahan for his noontime variety show Wowowee, Manahan, alongside Bobet Vidanes, directed the show.
