In a press conference for the GMA Network teleserye, Babawiin ko Ang Lahat, actress Carmina Villarroel commented on her daughter Cassy’s locked-in filming for the teleserye, First Yaya.

A reporter recalled Carmina’s previous comments, where she said she would not allow Cassy to join in a project with locked-in filming.

Although Cassy is already twenty-years-old, Carmina still struggled inside when she let her daughter for the filming.

“Mahirap, pero siguro malaking factor nga na twenty na yung anak ko,” said Carmina.

Carmina added that she recognized how much Cassy wanted to act. She also highlighted Cassy’s excitement about her project with GMA Network. Carmina also said that both she and her husband, Zoren Legaspi, support their daughter.

“Mahirap pero kasi nakita ko talaga na yung gusto ni Cassy eh. Gusto talaga nya mag-artista she’s very excited with First Yaya. Bilang magulang nakasuporta lang kaming dalawa ni Zoren,” said Carmina.

Carmina stated she trusts her daughter. However, she admitted to crying during the first few weeks away from her daughter.

“I trust her kasi, mabait rin naman na bata si Cassy so hindi ako nahihirapan i-let go. Yun nga lang ‘yung mga first few weeks, umiiyak ako,” said Carmina.

She said she wants Cassy to experience what she went through during the locked-in filming. She also said that she saw how happy Cassy was with her project.

“I don’t want to be selfish, I want Cassy to experience life, experience what she went through with the lockdown, and nakita ko she was so happy. She was so happy with what she’s doing,” said Carmina.

Finally, Carmina said that she understands Cassy’s drive as an artist. And how she struggled the first time that Cassy had to attend the locked-in filming.

“Gusto talaga nya eh. Naiintindihan ko yun kasi artista ako eh. Wala naman kaming magagawa, because like I said, it’s the new normal. Kasi first time, first time ever na nalayo si Cassy sa’min,” said Carmina.

Cassy Legaspi is one of the twins of Zoren and Carmina, with her brother, Mavy Legaspi. She is one of the stars of the upcoming teleserye, First Yaya.

As for Carmina, she joins the cast of the teleserye, Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat. The cast also includes Pauline Mendoza, Liezel Lopez, John Estrada, Tanya Garcia-Lapid, Neil Ryan Sese, Kristoffer Martin, Dave Bornea, Therese Malvar, Manolo Pedrosa, Gio Alvarez, and Tanya Gomez. The series airs this February 22, on GMA Afternoon Prime.
