During the press conference for the newest Kapamilya star, Janine Gutierrez, she recounted her studio tour experience in high school when they went to see the ABS-CBN gameshow Game KNB?
Firstly, she highlighted that the last time she was in the ABS-CBN lot was during one of their field trips in school. She said that they went on a Game KNB studio tour, garbed in their high school uniform.
“It was my first time to step in the ABS-CBN lot. The last time I was here, dito sa ELJ nag-field trip kami ng highschool. Yeah, as in, studio tour. Umikot kami sa Game KNB? As in studio tour, as in naka-high school uniform ako,” said Janine.
After that, the second time she returned was with her recent Kapamilya welcome in ASAP Natin ‘To. Janine added that it felt surreal and nervous now that she’s back as an ‘official’ Kapamilya.
“And, ever since ngayon lang ako nakabalik. So sobrang surreal that my first time inside ABS-CBN was deretso sa ASAP stage. So imagine mo yung kaba ko,” said Janine.
Additionally, during the interview, she mentioned all the Star Cinema projects she watched in theaters.
“Ako, fan talaga ako ng mga pelikula. And, lahat yan dinadayo ko sa sinehan. Of course, lahat ng mga John Lloyd-Bea, lahat ng mga John Lloyd-Sarah. Everything, I really enjoy all the Star Cinema films. So I’m happy to be a little bit closer to that,” said Janine.
When asked if she’s interested in a John Llyod Cruz-Janine project, she immediately expressed interest, noting that it’s one of her dreams since high school.
“Pangarap ko yun. I don’t even know if that’s possible. But that’s always, highschool pa lang ako pangarap ko yun,” said Janine.
As for the other stars she would like to work with, Janine listed all the actors she wants to work with, starting with the female Kapamilya stars she idolizes.
“Simulan ko na sa mga women kasi madami talaga akong ini-idolo dito sa ABS-CBN. There’s (of course) Anne Curtis, Angelica Panganiban, Angel Locsin, yan talaga yung mga idol ko,” said Janine.
“There’s also Jodi (Sta. Maria), Iza (Calzado). So many women I look up (to).
“Si Ms. Reg (Regine Velasquez-Alcasid) din. Idol ko din sya sa actingan.
“With so many good projects, it’s a mixture of ang ganda ng teleserye n’ya pero nakakagawa sya ng magandang pelikula. And, ang ganda lang nung takbo nung mga career nila, ang dami ko talagang ini-idolo dito.”
As for male actors, she wrote that she wants to work with actors Paolo Avelino and Enchong Dee, whom she worked and met with before.
“Siguro sa lalaki naman, I’m looking forward to working with Paolo (Avelino), kasi we did a movie together, so happy ako na parang mayroon na kong kaibigan dito. Si Enchong (Dee) is an old friend, so excited din ako na makasama sya dito, and I’m sure sa ASAP magkikita kami,” said Janine.
Janine then added that she wants to work with other Kapamilya actors, and she’s excited about the management’s decision on which projects they would put her.
“Madami, si sir Jericho (Rosales), si JC Santos sana also maka-work ko sya dito. Carlo Aquino, Gerald Anderson, madami talaga. So excited ako kung saan ako maipwe-pwesto. Actually, di ka talaga maubusan ng mga pangarap mo makatrabaho,” said Janine.
Finally, when asked about working with Liza Soberano, Janine gushed, admitting that she’s a LizQuen fan, too.
“Oh my god, of course, Liza. Alam mo, I didn’t mention her because I never ko na-imagine na I could actually be maybe close to the possibility na makatrabaho sya. But I’m a LizQuen fan, and I love Liza. Sobrang fan ako, so if ever that would be amazing,” said Janine.
Recently, Janine confirmed rumors of her network transfer to ABS-CBN as she siigned her contract with the network on January 15, 2021. Then, she made her first official network appearance via the ASAP Natin ‘To on January 24, 2021, to which she received a warm welcome from Kapamilya talents.
