Due to the ABS-CBN shutdown, the Kapamilya network’s reach became limited.
The media giant focuses on digital platforms. As a result, ABS-CBN had to scale down from producing content. Which directly impacted the talents under the Kapamilya network.
Some of these talents have started branching out into other networks.
First, we have Ariella Arida from the teleserye, The Killer Bride. She now portrays Lotus Mandela in the teleserye The Lost Recipe.
Another example is the seasoned actress Malou De Guzman. De Guzman is now part of the cast of the drama anthology, I Can See You. She will appear in the episode titled, On My Way To You. Additionally, she also has another project lined up after her the production of the drama anthology.
Next, we have Alex Diaz. Recently, he posted a story of him in the set of the fantasy romance anthology, My Fantastic Pag-ibig.
Finally, GA network confirmed Albert Martinez’s return to GMA Network after 14 years. Rumors are pointing to Las Hermanas as Martinez’s return project to GMA Network.
With the recent trend of Kapamilya talents gradually appearing on Kapuso shows, we expect that we’ll be seeing more ABS-CBN talents on GMA Network as they open their doors to all managers and production houses.
“We are also open to cast artists from all managers, all production houses, so in the future, hopefully, you’ll be seeing more of these other artists,” said GMA Films President Annette Gozon Valdes.
