Actor Enchong Dee never fails to use his platform in airing his disappointment toward the current government.
On March 29, as the government puts the NCR plus bubble in ECQ, President Duterte asserts that he would have ordered to stop the pandemic right away if only he had the magical powers to do so.
“If only I had the power, kung nandiyan lang sa kin ‘yung poder na like a magic wand na maalis kaagad itong problema natin, gagawin ko,” he said.
Duterte’s statement did not sit well with Dee. He said that Duterte’s magic wand is his Presidential position. As the President, he has the power to lead his people towards the mitigation of the virus.
It is indeed dismaying to know that even the nation’s highest leader wished for some magic to happen to end this health crisis without even realizing that the magic lies in leadership strategies and plans.

The actor also pointed out that the government had enough time and resources to control the pandemic, but they failed to do so. He then appealed to the government to stop using flowery words to cover up failures.
It has been a year into this pandemic but, the situation in the country has worsened recently. The cases continuously increase as hospitals are getting overwhelmed.
Despite this, the government still fails to establish a concrete and effective action plan to use a scientific approach in mitigating this health crisis.
For the past week, the country logs record-high COVID-19 cases ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 every day, resulting in more than 124,000 active cases.
On March 28, the NCR plus bubble is now in the strictest community quarantine, ECQ.
Considering the current situation, should we still believe and rely on magic?!
