With the recent rebranding of GMA News TV to GTV, it now aims to cater to young audiences. Therefore, the sister channel of GMA Network is introducing programs specifically for the younger generations.
In an interview, the network’s content producer Nessa Valdellon revealed that since GTV is a news and public affairs channel, it will still have its existing programs such as Balitanghali, Dobol B TV, GMA Regional TV Strip, News TV Live, Regional TV Weekend News, State of the Nation, Biyahe ni Drew, Brigada, Good News Kasama si Vicky Morales, iJuander, Pinas Sarap, Pop Talk, and Taste Buddies.
But in order to have these shows fit the taste of a young viewership, Valdellon said that they are now making changes to suit their target audience.
“[In] State of the Nation, we changed the anchors to younger anchors. Actually, for the other programs they were already hitting the demographic before,” Valdellon said.
Currently, the channel has the romantic fantasy series, “The Lost Recipe” which premiered on January 18, 2021, starring Kelvin Miranda and Mikee Quintos. It also acquired the coverage of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
With all the current programs, GTV has more in store for its new demographics. And these are the shows that would surely spice up Filipino homes.

This is the story of novelist and coffee shop owner Heart Fulgencio (Julie Anne San Jose) who will be her customers’ matchmaker. But love has something for her too as she meets Ace Nobleza (David Licauco) who’s about to make her life more meaningful.
A drama series that tells the story of two rival podcast hosts who eventually fell in love.
This teleserye is about a girl who lives in a boarding house to reach her dream of becoming an accountant.
The Write One
A story about a frustrated writer who uses a magical typewriter to write his love story after he experiences an unhappy marriage.
A mystery-fantasy series that will consist of stand-alone stories of people who face the unexplained.
GTV will also introduce three new sitcoms to watch out for, namely: “Ate Girls”, “Basketboys”, and “Hapi & Gae.”
The channel will also feature real-life stories of Filipinos who went from rags to riches in a talk show called, “Sana All”. The talk show will highlight each entrepreneur’s journey to success.
And with this line-up, GMA Network is bound to bring a whole new level of entertainment information, and variety to its growing audience for many years to come.
