After being absent in the recent episodes of TV5’s noontime variety show Lunch Out Loud (LOL), speculations on host-vlogger Alex Gonzaga’s backing out surfaced.
Gonzaga’s busy schedule [with other projects] prevented her from going to tapings.
LOL premiered on TV5 on October 19. It competes with other noontime shows of other networks–Eat Bulaga! on GMA Network and It’s Showtime on Kapamilya Channel and Zoe TV.
Brightlight Productions produces the show and airs from 12 noon to 2 pm, Mondays to Saturdays.
Apart from Gonzaga, other hosts were former Kapamilya stars–Bayani Agbayani and Billy Crawford.
Gonzaga is set to star in an upcoming comedy movie with JC de Vera.
The regular hosts are in a lock-in taping situation, which is hard for Alex to do the noontime show LOL.
On Tuesday, May 11, on facebook, TinCan Films shared some photos of Gonzaga and de Vera filming for their movie. Its working title, Entitled.
“Hindi na idedeny pa, totoo ngang #AlexGonzagaisENTITLED!” TinCan Films wrote in the caption.
The said comedy movie will also feature Melai Cantiveros and will be directed by Theodore Boborol.
Alex and JC have already worked in a movie previously. They starred in Wenn Deramas’s last comedy flick Everybody Loves Baby Wendy before the director passed away in 2016.
The movie only premiered on December 5, 2018, via ABS-CBN’s streaming platform iWant.
This was not the first time about the speculated Alex Gonzaga’s dropping out of Lunch Out Loud.
She previously trended for being absent in the early episodes of LOL. It was later revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19, which explained her no-show.
Gonzaga has fully recovered from the virus and went back to the noontime show.
She also trended after rumors spread that she agreed to be a host of LOL because of the high salary offered to her.
After shooting for her comedy movie, will Alex Gonzaga return to Lunch Out Loud?
