Kapamilya star Gerald Anderson revealed what his girlfriend Julia Barretto means to him. In a virtual interview with Toni Gonzaga’s I Feel U on May 5, Anderson made the analogy of his relationship with Barretto as a ship and its fuel.
The couple just recently admitted their relationship in public sometime in March after months of speculations.
Gerald explained that if he were a ship, Julia would be his fuel who gives him the power to go on with life.
“Unconditional. Talagang, you know, parang alam ko na… kumbaga, sa tropa ko sa sundalo, alam ko lagi siyang andiyan by my side,
“And kumbaga, kung barko ako, siya yung nagbibigay sa akin ng power or fuel para tuluy-tuloy lang ang laban sa buhay,” he explained.
He noted that life goes on despite all challenges saying, “Maraming waves na darating pero kailangan tuluy-tuloy, maraming storms.”
Regarding his relationship with Barretto, Anderson mentioned that the actress is his joy, inspiration, and motivation.
“Ibang joy, ibang inspiration, ibang… di ko rin ma-explain, e, kasi para siyang ibang… parang nabibigyan ako ng panibagong motivation,” he said.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old actor also revealed that he gets frustrated by people who only look into the mistakes of celebrities.
He said that people don’t have to point out his past mistakes for him as he is already aware of them and is trying to better himself.
“Siguro lahat tayo na nasa industriyang ito, laging may mali. Gusto lang makita ng tao kung ano ‘yung perspective nila, kung ano ‘yung tingin nila sa atin,.
“‘Yung ibang supporters na sobrang perfect ‘yung tingin sa atin and then ‘pag nagkamali maraming nakaabang.”
Gerald and Julia’s relationship became controversial as the actor is being accused of cheating with his previous partner, Bea Alonzo.
