Kapuso’s newest action fantasy program Agimat ng Agila made a debut on Saturday with good ratings.

Kapuso’s newest action fantasy program Agimat ng Agila made a debut on Saturday with good ratings.

Based on the rating number from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, Bong Revilla’s comeback program scored a high rating of 16.3% easily beating its rival Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan which only got a meager 1.1%.

Aside from rating numbers, Agimat ng Agila also won in online views as it registered more than 21 thousand views on Youtube compared to Paano Kita Mapasasalamatan’s more than 3 thousand views.

Prior to its premiere, GMA Network was subjected to criticism after ushering in the return of Bong Revilla on television. Critics slammed the network for giving a platform to Revilla even after being involved with the controversial PDAF scam.

GMA Network bosses however defended the show and Revilla saying, his Senate comeback proved that he still has the following.

That’s why the Kapuso network poured its budget for the series to make it more polished and more exciting for the viewers.

In a video interview with its director Direk Rico Gutierrez, he said that GMA Network gave them all the support in terms of production cost especially in terms of visual effects.

Agimat Nang Agila airs every Saturday staring 7:15 pm and is slated to run for a whole 1 season with 13 episodes.
