Cavite Rep. Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla’s condescending attitude strikes again as he interrupted Kabataan Representative Sarah Elago during a House hearing, on Wednesday, May 19.
The Senate launched an investigation about the community pantries, which were set up across the Philippines.
This followed after some politicians, who linked community pantry organizers as supporters of rebels.
Elago condemned her fellow politicians who were trying to accuse these organizers of being associated with rebels.
“Yung mismong tawag ng pananagutan, di ba dapat i-take yun ng government bilang a welcome or a challenge na gawin niya ang trabaho niya to really intervene to save lives, protect the health and well-being of the people? Hindi niyo pwedeng sabihin na porket sumusuporta sa community pantry ay sumusuporta na rin sa rebelyon. Kasi yun ang pinaparating,” said Elago.
However, she was cut short from talking as Remulla interjected by saying, “Gusto mo ikonek natin? Ikokonek ko sayo. Kung gusto mo ikokonek ko yung community pantry na tumuturo sa rebellion?”
Remulla’s behavior drew flak from personalities and Netizens as they were shocked by the lawmaker’s rudeness.
Blogger Rod Magaru irked at Remulla, calling him an “effin’ twat.”

Columnist Tonyo Cruz noted that Remulla’s rudeness dictates that he is trying to prevent the public from knowing the benefits of community pantries.
Ang ilaw ng gasera o kandila ay di tinatakpan. Itataas mo pa nga para maliwanagan ang lahat.
Importante na malaman ng mas marami ang community pantry para mas maraming makatulong at mas maraming matulungan.

A netizen even pointed out that Remulla is not only rude. The congressman also supports rebellion since he supports community pantries as well.

A twitter personality even wished men who interrupt women talking should “pass away.”

But even before this instance, Remulla has shown such an attitude inappropriate for a public servant.
A Netizen shared a clip of Remulla disrespecting the Philippine national anthem. He got caught fiddling around his table while the hymn is ongoing.

In June 2020, Remulla’s rudeness surfaced when he cut off ABS-CBN’s legal counsel Atty. Cynthia Del Castro in an ABS-CBN franchise hearing. In his manner, Netizens even dubbed him as the “King of Rudeness.”
In the following month, Remulla got criticized for his ‘condescending’ manner when he asked one of ABS-CBN’s legal counsel Atty. Maxim Uy if he can understand Tagalog.
