Kapuso rom-com series First Yaya remains the most-watched weekday program in the country.
The Sanya Lopez-Gabby Concepcion starrer series was able to hold on to their Top 1 rank despite the continuous decline in their rating numbers.
Based on the latest rating data from AGB Nielsen NUTAM survey, First Yaya is now down to 17% to 18% from their previous average of 22%.
On Monday, June 7, the series scored 17.9% followed by 18.1% on Tuesday, June 8, 18.8% on Wednesday, June 9, and 18.5% on Thursday, June 10.
Its rating decline may have been the result of the show’s announcement of its nearing finale.
On May 24, the show did its last lock-in taping in a resort/hotel in Manila marking the series near ending. GMA Network has already started the promo for Lolong which will replace First Yaya.
While there no definite date for its premiere yet, expect it to be soon as First Yaya has already concluded its taping for the series.
Meanwhile, for the last week’s episode, First Yaya featured Melody’s discovery of the real person behind his father’s death.
Melody went into emotional outbursts after knowing that Presidential daughter Nina (Cassy) was the person who accidentally killed Melody’s father. Because of the revelation, Melody and her family decided to leave the Palace and end her relationship with President Acosta.
President Acosta meanwhile started to lose public support after his reputation was tarnish by the news about Nina.
