Lolit Solis reacts to Aiko Melendez running as Congresswoman on QC’s District 5, the actress responds

Actress-turned-politician Aiko Melendez will be up against Alfred Vargas’s brother, Councillor Patrick Michael “PM” Vargas.

Lolit Solis already made up her mind to whom her vote for Quezon City’s District 5 representative would go this coming election, despite having two closest friends battling for the same position.

In her Instagram post on June 19, Solis was amazed by the “heavyweights” who will run for Congressman in QC’s District 5.

Actress-turned-politician Aiko Melendez will be up against Alfred Vargas’s brother, Councillor Patrick Michael “PM” Vargas.

District 5 pala ang tatakbuhan nila PM Vargas at Aiko Melendez,” Solis wrote in her IG post.

Although she is friends with both Vargas and Melendez, Solis will not vote for Melendez. It’s because she already made a promise to Cong. Vargas that she will choose his brother.

Thus, in this case, may the best politician wins.

But Solis is certain that whoever becomes congressman, will serve the district greatly.

“Pareho kong mahal sila Aiko at PM.

Moreover, Solis in her post explained that these kinds of circumstances happen when entering politics. But whoever wins the position, he/she must surpass the achievements that Cong. Vargas has achieved for the district.

Meanwhile, Melendez responded to the entertainment writer’s post.

In her comment, the actress understood Solis’s point. However, Melendez does not see Vargas as a rival.

It’s because the actress knows that Coun. Vargas will do his best to help the people.

Melendez further explained that both she and Vargas only has one goal: which is to serve the public. So, whoever wins as the congressman, the actress knew they will do great things for the district that they get to represent.

God bless ‘nay Lolit.”
