The officer, identified as M/Sgt. Hensie Zinampan, of the Police Security Protection Group, got caught on video after he shot and killed a 52-year-old woman named Lilibeth Recto in Quezon City.
The incident was recorded by the victim’s grandchildren.
According to the victim’s daughter, Beverly Luceno, Recto’s son and Zinampanan had a fistfight, prior to the shooting.
“Nagsuntukan po kasi ‘yung pulis pati yung kapatid kong lalaking isa.”
This recent incident involved another trigger-happy cop infuriated many celebrities and Netizens since it is not the first incident that happened this year. Earlier last week, an 18-year-old teen with autism named Erwin Arnigo, died at the hands of another police officer.
GMA artist Gil Cuerva expressed on twitter how he lost his respect toward the police force in the country.
#PULISANGTERORISTA. Sorry, but I’ve completely lost hope and respect for policemen as a whole. Don’t give me that “di naman lahat ng pulis ganyan” bs. Until something is done about these sick, weak, fcked up men shooting innocent people, I refuse to acknowledge any good they do.

Famous blogger Kerwin King also associated Duterte with the recent killing.
King pointed that the Philippine President is an ‘enabler’ and instead of punishment, he ‘rewards’ them. Furthermore, he noted that Duterte encouraged the culture where the only answer is to ‘murder and protect abusers.’
Events like killings in this admin is imputable to Duterte. That’s because he enables & rewards them. He encouraged a culture where the only answer is to murder & protect abusers. Maraming malaya at maraming ‘di nabibigyan ng hustisya dahil hindi naisasapubliko #PULISANGTERORISTA

Theater actor-director Bart Guingona condemned the killing, noting that this recent atrocity should add to the growing evidence to repeal the Anti-Terrorism Law.
The frequency with which police commit atrocities makes a strong case for the repeal of the ATL. The PCOO people, who red-tag indiscriminately just look more and more stupid when the law enforcers themselves are proving to be more dangerous than any red. #PULISANGTERORISTA

Meanwhile, the recently-appointed Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Guillermo Lorenzo Tolentino Eleazar, reprimanded the suspect.
In the report of Kapuso reporter Mariz Umali, Eleazar interrogated Zinampanan as to why he murdered a civilian. However, this stunt of the PNP Chief did not sit well with other Netizens and celebrities.
A Twitter personality criticized Eleazar’s strategy to humiliate the suspect on camera, stressing that his subordinates must be disciplined off-cam.
Does Eleazar really think yung mga palabas nyang ganito EVERY TIME may #PoliceBrutality #PoliceKiller is working???
Try disciplining your men NOT TO KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE off camera, para tunay silang matuto! Stunts dont work 🙄 #PULISANGTERORISTA https://t.co/yrE8BYeIIE
