Tom Rodriguez, the Kapuso star, has confirmed that his contract with the GMA Network will be renewed on July 2, as he stated in an interview promoting his forthcoming series on the channel.
Despite the situation, the actor expressed his excitement to continue working for the network as a proud Kapuso.
“Yes. Yes. Very very excited to ano… to say na. Grabe, I really can’t thank GMA enough to think that it’s a time of the pandemic na a lot of us have fears and anxiety that comes to our job security,” the actor stated.
“Pinapanatag nila (referring to GMA management) lalo na ngayon sa pinagdadaanan nating lahat. Pinapanatag nila yung loob ko to assure me that we have your back na we know these are trying times… there’s still there. I still feel their presence, their love,” he added.
Rodriguez revealed that he has still a lot to disclose together with the GMA Network – surprises and projects in line with the contract signing on July 2.
With his love of Tagalog movies and series, the Amboy actor had no hard time adjusting to the projects he has been making. Tom’s dedication to learning the language helped him stand out from the crowd when he starred in popular television series which surely made a hit.
Tom Rodriguez will star in an upcoming GMA serye The World Between Us alongside Alden Richards and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, being the main casts of the soap.
The Kapuso star expressed his enthusiasm for the teleserye, which will air later this year.
“’Di lang sa mga pangalan na nakatali sa proyekto, pero tulad ng sabi ni Jasmine, ni Alden at lahat kanina, yung project mismo nakakaexcite. Parang lahat bonus, lahat sahog na,” Tom explained.
“Ang ganda ng script, grabe yung mga kasama ko. Yung character pa na gagampanan ko is something na nagpapaexcite sa ‘kin,” he happily stated.
Despite the demand of the situation, Rodriguez still feels the fire to continue the project as it is not only a platform to earn but also to continue the love of work.
“Tama ‘yung sinabi ni Alden na gumigising ka na excited ka magtrabaho,”
“Kung tutuusin, pera pera lang dapat kasi pandemic, pero yun yung nakakatuwa dito, it’s one of the first full soaps that I’ve done this pandemic and yet ‘di ganun yung pakiramdam,” the actor said.
