Bea Alonzo’s network transfer was a hot topic on social media as loyal Kapamilya supporters grappled in accepting the shocking news.
Although rumors about her network switch have been circling showbiz corners for the past weeks, it still shocked many since Bea was supposed to star in a new Kapamilya teleserye with Richard Gutierrez and Rafael Rosell.
And although there are other familiar Kapamilya stars who already made the switch like Beauty Gonzales, Richard Yap, and Pokwang, news about Bea was still a big deal since her new management has previously issued a statement that she will remain Kapamilya.
Meanwhile, aside from the Kapamilya stars, there were network switches that happened in silence.
Several former Kapamilya executives and production staff have also made the switch behind the fanfare.
Former Goin’ Bulilit Director Frasco Mortiz, who greeted Bea on her transfer, has been with GMA Network for quite a while already.
Ba’t ang daming bitter? Basta ako, I’m happy for Bea Alonzo. ❤️#ProudToBEAKapuso

A Kapamilya writer Benson Logronio is now with the Kapuso network as a writer for Magpakailanman. Longronio’s work with ABS-CBN includes MMK, The Killer Bride, and the iWant mini-series Hinahanap-hanap Kita. We already heard two names of Kapamilya writers now working in GMA Network but we found no post from them regarding their transfer.
Aside from these writers, it was also previously reported that Mr. M and Mariole Alberto are set to join GMA Network’s Talent Center.
Bobot Mortiz is also said to be going Kapuso via Willie Revillame’s production outfit.
ABS-CBN has been in a tight situation as a result of its network shutdown and the subsequent franchise application denial.
As a result, the network has no choice but to retrench thousands of employees and released some of its stars and executives since they can no longer give work to them.
