Comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz talked about the ‘panghaharbat’ issue of veteran entertainment columnist Lolit Solis.
In his YouTube vlog, Ogie, a good friend of Lolit, interviewed the latter about her life and her struggles during her showbiz stay.
For over 40 years in the industry, Ogie knew that Lolit was not spared from criticisms online.
Ogie said that Lolit was called a ‘harbatera’, a person who asks for money or gifts. Adding to the rumors, it is also said that she is doing this to some actors in exchange for her praises and commendation.
After bringing up the issue, Ogie asked Lolit’s opinion about the matter.
Lolit then realized that one must always be careful in sharing information in public.
“Kaya dapat nga pala medyo maingat ka dun sa nakikita nila.” she advised.
Although she is unaffected by some criticisms, Lolit admitted that she is quickly angered by those using foul language.
But at the end of the day, Lolit said that she is just taking responsibility for the problem she partly caused.
Lolit said.
She can take the criticisms of any stranger, but Lolit said that it would be painful for her when it’s coming from a friend or acquaintance.
Lolit said that, thankfully, no one in showbiz called her a ‘harbatera’.
