Paolo Valenciano commended Alden Richards and Julie Anne San Jose for their professionalism and patience at work.
In a virtual interview, Valenciano shared his working experience with the two of the highly-acclaimed Kapuso artists of this current generation.
Valenciano is the creative director of Alden’s Reality: The Virtual Reality Concert (AR) and the upcoming musical trilogy of San Jose, LIMITLESS.
Despite the setbacks they experienced in realizing their projects, Richards and San Jose remained professional and did not ever complain.
“Ang dami naming plans dun sa Mindanao and we encounter a lot of major, major problems but, Julie never complained, not once. She was always game.
“Si Alden, was also like that as well. Yung sa Alden’s (Reality), ang dami naming delays, we had some challenges between the broadcast team and the VR team and si Alden lang yung nasa gitna ng lahat ng gulo. He never complained, he was also so gracious, always so game.
Valenciano believes that Richards and San Jose’s attitude toward work will help them achieve great heights.
The director then shared his learning from Alden’s Reality which he kept in mind while doing Limitless.
“Whatever concept you come up with, has to stay true to the artist, to the personality of the artist. Hindi masyadong nagwowork pag gagawa ako ng konsepto for the artist tapos sasabihin ko sa artist, ‘Okay, eto yung gagawin mo, eto yung sasabihin mo, this is my direction for you.
Valenciano believes that a good stage, good lighting, or overall visual impact are useless if the concept will not show who the artist is.
In the upcoming LIMITLESS virtual concert, their team assured that the entire show will highlight Julie Anne, herself.
LIMITLESS, A Musical Trilogy is set to premiere on September 17.
It will show the musical journey of Julie and her different roles as a singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and multi-instrumentalist.
It is produced by GMA Synergy, the same producer of Alden’s Reality, the Philippines’ first virtual concert which became one of the finalists during the New York Festivals Awards.
