ABS-CBN’s Init Sa Magdamag finale episode fell short in TV ratings compared to its pilot episode.
On September 10, ‘Init Sa Magdamag’ which stars Gerald Anderson, Yam Concepcion, and JM De Guzman, had its conclusion.
The series ranked 12th in the chart released by AGB Nielsen with a 5.6% rating.
Its finale episode rating fell short compared to its pilot episode on April 19, which reached 5.8%.
On its final week, the ‘Init Sa Magdamag’ earned fair ratings with 4.5% on September 6, 4.2% on September 7, 4.8% on September 8, 4.3%, and on September 9.
‘Init Sa Magdamag’ finale episode was also overshadowed by its rival series in GMA Network, ‘The Penthouse S2’, which earned a 7.3% rating and ranking 6th.
Compared to the reach of GMA Network, which covers about 60 areas, ABS-CBN’s reach is very limited. So, the gap in TV ratings is understandable.
In terms of online views, the show garnered around 300k to 500k views as of writing.
‘Init Sa Magdamag’ ended with Peterson’s (JM de Guzman) death after asking for forgiveness from Rita (Yam Concepcion). On Peterson’s grave, Rita told him that she had already forgiven him.
Rita and Tupe (Gerald Anderson) then tied a knot in the episode. Tupe was the sperm donor for Peterson and Rita, so, biologically, Andrew is his son. So, Tupe embraced his responsibility as a father.
‘Init Sa Magdamag’ is the first ABS-CBN series that was fully canned before it was aired in April.
‘Init sa Magdamag’ aired on TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, and Kapamilya Online Live via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
