Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo revealed that she would soon be a Kapuso during the Queen-tuhan segment of Unang Hirit on Monday, October 4.
Mateo expressed her happiness as she is set to sign her contract with GMA network and start her showbiz career.
“Magsho-showbiz na po ako,” Mateo revealed via Lyn-Ching Pascual and Suzi Entrata-Abrera.
“I’m gonna sign up with GMA, magiging isang Kapuso na po tayo and I’m excited to do acting and hosting na po in the future.”
On Sunday, September 19, the beauty queen made an appearance on the late-night weekend program The Boobay and Tekla Show, wherein she answered questions for the segment May Pa-presscon.
One of the hardest questions she tackled was–if she was given the power to turn back time, will she choose the Miss Universe crown, love life, or a peaceful life.
She replied, “Siguro doon ako sa Miss Universe crown kasi hindi lang ‘yun yong pangarap ko. Pangarap din ‘yon ng maraming Pilipino, nang sangkabaklaan na sumuporta sa akin.”
Mateo is the latest Pinay beauty queen who chose to be part of the GMA Network.
