1. Jason Abalos (actor)

Abalos is running for a provincial board member of the 2nd District of Nueva Ecija. He filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Friday, October 1. He will be running under Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan.

2. Ejay Falcon (actor)

Falcon is running for vice governor in Oriental Mindoro. He filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Friday, October 1. He is the running mate of incumbent Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor.

3. Richard Yap (actor)

Yap is running for representative of the 1st District of Cebu City. The actor filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Sunday, October 3. He previously ran in the 2019 midterm elections against then-incumbent congressman Raul del Mar, but he lost.

4. Javi Benitez (actor)

Benitez is running for mayor in Victorias City, Negros Occidental. He is one of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic artists. He was part of the primetime series The General’s Daughter and Walang Hanggang Paalam.

5. Jhong Hilario (actor and host)

Hilario is running for councilor in Makati City. The actor filed his certificate of candidacy on Friday, October 1. Hilario won his second term as a city councilor in the 2019 elections. He is known for his hosting stint on It’s Showtime.

6. Lou Veloso (comedian and actor)

Veloso is running for councilor in Makati City. He had also served as a councilor before he filed candidacy as vice mayor. He ran for vice mayor in Manila in 2013, but he lost to Isko Moreno.

7. Anjo Yllana (comedian and actor)

Yllana is running for congressman of the 4th District of Camarines Sur. Prior to this, he served as a councilor in Paranaque City from 1998 until 2004, and he also served as the vice mayor of the same city from 2004 to 2007.

8. Angelu de Leon (actress)

De Leon is running for councilor in Pasig City. It was on October 6, Wednesday, when she filed her certificate of candidacy (COC). She said Mayor Vico Sotto was the main reason she decided to enter politics. She is known for starring in the ’90s youth-oriented show TGIS.

9. Aiko Melendez (actress)

Melendez is running for councilor in Quezon City. On October 6, Wednesday, she filed her certificate of candidacy (COC). She is known for her hit films May Minamahal, Sa ‘yo Lamang and Kahit Kailan.

10. Ali Forbes ( singer and beauty queen)

Forbes is running for councilor in Quezon City. She submitted her certificate of candidacy on Sunday, October 3. She is also known for joining Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7. 

11. Bobby Andrews (actor)

Andrews is running for councilor in Quezon City. Starting as a commercial model, he rose to fame when he teamed up with Angelu de Leon in the famous teen-oriented television show T.G.I.S. and its sequel Growing Up.

12. Lucy Torres-Gomez (actress and current representative of the 4th district of Leyte)

Torres-Gomez is running for mayor in Ormoc City. She filed her certificate of candidacy for the mayoralty on Friday, October 8. She is a member of the PDP–Laban and is married to actor Richard Gomez.

13. Richard Gomez (actor and current mayor of Ormoc City )

Gomez is running for representative of the 4th district of Leyte. He files his certificate of candidacy on Wednesday, October 6. He assumed office as mayor of Ormoc City on June 30, 2016. He was a leading actor in movies in the early 1990s and won several awards and nominations.

14. Nash Aguas (actor)

Aguas is running for councilor in Quezon City. In September 2021, Aguas was sworn in as a new member of the Lakas–CMD party. The actor is known for being part of the defunct Goin’ Bulilit show.

15. Dennis Padilla, (actor)

Padilla is running for councilor in Caloocan City. He was elected councilor of Caloocan from 1998 to 2007. In 2017, Padilla was appointed as one of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

16. Arjo Atayde (actor)

Atayde is running for congressman in Quezon City. He filed his certificate of candidacy on Friday, October 8, with Mayor Joy Belmonte. He won Best Actor at the 3rd Asian Academy Creative Awards 2020 for his role in the iWant and Dreamscape series Bagman.

17. Karla Estrada (actress and host)

Estrada is running under Tingog Sinirangan party-list group. On Friday, October 8, she filed her certificate of candidacy from the party-list group Tingog Sinirangan, whose current representative, Yedda Romualdez. Estrada is known for hosting the morning show Magandang Buhay on ABS-CBN, and she currently runs a YouTube channel called Dear Momshie Karls.

Barretto is running for councilor in Caloocan City. After gaining recognition for her roles in hit television series and cinema blockbusters, she is often referred to as The Optimum Star.

19. Nora Aunor (actress)

Aunor is running under National Organization for Responsive Advocacies for the Arts (NORA A) party-list group. She filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) on Friday, October 8. Dubbed as the country’s Superstar, she started her career in showbiz after joining Tawag ng Tanghalan in the ’60s. She is known for starring in the hit films Himala, Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos and Bona.

20. Angelica Jones (actress)

Jones is running for congresswoman of the 3rd district of Laguna. She is currently a Board Member representing the 3rd district of Laguna. Aside from being an actress, Jones is known for her hit novelty Ms. Flawless.

21. Alex Castro (actor and singer)

Castro is running for vice governor in Bulacan. He was the youngest member of the Marilao Municipal Council. In 2016, Castro became the youngest member of the Bulacan Provincial Board.

22. Imelda Papin (singer)

Papin is running for vice governor in Camarines Sur under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. She filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) on Friday, October 8. In 2019, she won as the vice governor of Camarines Sur. Dubbed the Sentimental Songstress, Imelda Papin is responsible for songs such as Bakit and Isang Linggong Pag-ibig.

Akeel is running for governor in Sultan Kudarat under Aksyon Demokratiko headed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Yllana is running for councilor in Parañaque City. He filed his certificate of candidacy on Thursday, October 7. He rose to fame as one of the members of the 1990s teen group Gwapings.

25. Vandolph Quizon (actor)

Quizon is running for councilor in Parañaque City. He filed his certificate of candidacy on Thursday, October 7. He is known for being a councilor of the 1st District of Parañaque. He is the only son of comedian Dolphy with actress-politician Alma Moreno.

26. Shamcey Supsup (former beauty queen)

Supsup is running under ARTE party-list group. She was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas Universe in 2011. She represented her country at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in São Paulo, Brazil, where she finished as 3rd Runner-Up. She is also National Director of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization after being appointed to the role in 2019.

27. Niña Jose (actress)

The former Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition housemate is running for the mayoral seat in Bayambang, Pangasinan. She filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) on Friday, October 8. She is currently a contract actress for the ABS-CBN television network and has appeared on the cover of FHM Philippines magazine.

28. Dennis Padilla (comedian)

Dennis Padilla filed his certificate of candidacy on Friday for councilor in the second district of Caloocan City under the slate of Congressman Egay Erice.

29. Raymond Bagatsing (actor)

Raymond Bagatsing filed on Friday his certificate of candidacy for the vice mayoralty race in the City of Manila. Hewill be facing former actor Yul Servo (known for voting against ABS-CBN franchise renewal), who is also eyeing the second highest position in Manila.

National posts

1. Isko Moreno (former matinee idol and current Manila mayor)

Moreno is running for President under Aksyon Demokratiko, founded by the late Senator Raul Roco. He filed his certificate of candidacy at the Sofitel on Monday, October 4, with running mate Doctor Willie Ong. Moreno is currently serving as the 22nd mayor of Manila since 2019. He became part of That’s Entertainment, a defunct teen variety show.

2. Tito Sotto (actor, musician, senator)

Sotto is running for vice president. It was on Wednesday, October 6, when Sotto filed his certificate of candidacy. He is currently serving as the Senate President of the Philippines since 2018. Sotto is a co-host of Eat Bulaga!, the longest-running variety show in Philippine television history.

3. Jinggoy Estrada (former actor )

Estrada is running for senator. Before serving two terms as a Senator of the Philippines from 2004 to 2016, he served as Vice Mayor of San Juan in 1988. He notably won the Best Actor Award in the 2007 Metro Manila Film Festival for Katas ng Saudi.

4. Raffy Tulfo (broadcaster)

Tulfo is running for senator, intending to bring Tulfo justice in the Senate. He has a weekday afternoon radio program entitled Wanted sa Radyo on Radyo5 92.3 News FM with Sharee Roman. His YouTube program Raffy Tulfo in Action (RTIA) is also popular in the country.

5. Manuel Monsour del Rosario III (actor and producer)

Del Rosario is running for senator. He is popularly known as a Filipino taekwondo champion and actor in several Filipino and international action films. He has also served as a city councilor from the 1st district of Makati from 2010 to 2016 and later as a congressman representing the same district from 2016 to 2019.

6. Herbert Bautista (actor and former Quezon City mayor)

Bautista announced he is running for senator on Thursday, October 6. He last served as the Mayor of Quezon City from 2010 to 2019. He also previously served as the vice mayor from 1995 to 1998, under Mayor Mel Mathay, and from 2001 to 2010, under Feliciano Belmonte Jr.

De Castro is running for senatorHe served as the 12thVice President of the Philippines from 2004 until 2010, under then-President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
