On December 14, RISE artist Daniela Stranner admitted feeling excited about her first leading role and Metro Manila Film Festival project with Love At First Stream.
During the media conference for Love At First Stream, Stranner said she felt intimidated at first while working with the phenomenal box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
“I’m really excited po ngayon. Sobrang excited, siyempre noong una takot kami kasi Direk Cathy [Garcia-Molina] and all. Tapos after naming i-shoot ‘yun, na-excite ako kasi alam kong okay ‘yung movie. Hindi kami pinabayaan ni Direk. Alam kong maganda ‘yung ikakalabas ng movie na ‘to.”
She then shared how the box-office director helped boost her confidence through her guidance.
“Tapos pagpunta sa set, it’s not what I expected. Sobrang matulungin si Direk Cathy. From the start, hanggang doon sa huli hindi niya kami pinabayaan. She guided us.Â
“Parang nandoon siya the whole time. Naging confident po ako sa pag-arte, naging confident ako sa mga eksena kasi nandiyan si Direk Cathy. Hindi niya tinatapos ‘yung mga eksena hanggang satisfied na siya or okay na ‘yung eksena. So naging confident po ako the whole shoot.”
Stranner also described their set environment as “magaan” or stress-free.Â
“In between ng takes, kapag kunwari nasa standby area. Kasama ko sila Kuya Igiboy, Miah, Kaori, Jennings, nag-e-enjoy ako doon kasi parang kapag nasa set kami, ang gaan gaan lang. Hindi kami ‘yung stressed na stressed na parang, basa script, basa script.”
She then shared how the cast and crew bond off-cam during their downtimes on set.
“Hindi namin agad nare-review ‘yung script. Hinihintay kasi namin i-revise ni Direk palagi ‘yung script. Lagi kasing last minute ‘yung revision ni Direk. So lagi kaming naglalaro lahat. naglalaro-laro lang kami. So ‘yun ‘yung pinaka-memorable sa akin. Pati kapag kasama sila Direk, tawanan po.”
Phenomenal box office director Cathy Garcia-Molina helms the movie with new Kapamilya artists Anthony Jennings, Kaori Oinuma, Daniela Stranner, and Jeremiah Lisbo.Â
The movie also includes a stellar supporting cast with Quincy Villanueva, Vien King, Ashley Polinar , Pinky Amador, Agot Isidro, Hyubs Azarcon, and Igiboy Flores.
 Love At First Stream premieres on December 25 during the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021.Â
