On December 15, Jun Sabayton’s Bayaw skit trended on social media after spoofing a political advertisement.
Sabayton’s Bayaw skit seemingly took a jab at Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s (BBM) recent political ad for the 2022 elections, highlighting the Bangui Wind Farms in Ilocos Norte.
He jested at BBM’s ad, claiming that the Wind Farms was his project.
“Kahit hindi naman talaga ako ang nagpagawa, ang dali niyo namang maniwala.”
The comedian also poked fun at Marcos’s slogan for the 2022 elections.
As a result, netizens posted reactions to Sabayton’s spoof on social media.
Columnist JC Punongbayan expressed support to Sabayton’s spoof.

Marcos’s political advertisement, highlighting the Bangui Wind Farm, came out in November 2021. However, some celebrities went on social media to fact-check netizens supporting the claims that the politician spearheaded the project.
According to reports, NorthWind Power Development Corporation (NPDC) led the Bangui Wind Farm project in 2005, following the wind mapping study of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in 1996.
Additional reports clarified that NPDC sought funds for Wind Farm from the world organization, World Wide Fund Nature (WWFN.
“The Project (Bangui Bay Project) would not only be the first of its kind in the Philippines, in fact, it will be the first in the whole ASEAN. World Bank through its PCF (Prototype Carbon Fund) has entered into an agreement with NorthWind on the purchase of Carbon Credits,” said World Bank in a statement in 2004.
As for Marcos, reports said he only supported the project but didn’t fund it during his term as the governor of Ilocos Norte from 1998 to 2007.
