Will Ruru Madrid, Kylie Padilla reunite onscreen for a TV project?

Madrid himself requested to do a project with Padilla.

Kapuso stars Ruru Madrid and Kylie Padilla got rumored to work again on screen.

To recall, Madrid and Padilla were paired in the Kapuso Encantadia prequel (2016-2017). They portrayed Ybrahim/Ybarro and Sang’gre Amihan, respectively, in the series.

She had to make an early exit from Encantadia in 2017 as she discovered that she got pregnant with her eldest son Alas Joaquin with her estranged husband Aljur Abrenica.

They called it quits in July 2021 after being married for three years or so as a couple.

According to PEP, Madrid himself requested to do a project with Padilla. Reportedly, the actor wanted to partner up with the female Kapuso star in a Kapuso TV show guesting.

Will this be a reunion of their tandem?

Madrid’s Lolong series had an indefinite cancellation of its lock-in taping due to the challenges brought by the pandemic. Padilla, on the other hand, had a recent guesting on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

Both artists are currently not involved in a TV project, which the netizens anticipate on their comeback as on-screen partners.

They worked together on the Kapuso sci-fi series The Cure in 2018 and TODA One I Love (International title: To the One I Love), a 2019 romantic comedy series broadcast directed by Jeffrey Hidalgo and Nick Olanka.
