It is confirmed that former ABS-CBN frequencies were granted to Manny Villar, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, and ALC Group of Companies.
On Wednesday, January 26, Quiboloy’s Sonshine Media Network International confirmed that Channel 43 Amcara got granted to Swara Sug Media, which is owned by Quiboloy.

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) announced that Aliw Broadcasting Corporation has been given the authority to use Channel 23.
On Tuesday, January 25, NTC granted a temporary permit for the Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc., owned by Villar to do a test broadcast on Channel 2 and operate a television broadcasting system on Channel 16.
“After the technical evaluation of AMBS request for a simulcast channel, Channel 2 (the paired analog channel in Mega Manila of digital channel 16) was temporarily assigned to AMBS.
This temporary assignment is for simulcast purposes only, and only until the analog shut-off is scheduled in 2023.
“It appearing that the applicant is legally qualified, and that the proposed Digital Terrestrial Television (DTTB) broadcasting station in Metro Manila/Mega Manila is technically and economically feasible, in the interest of public service, the Commission hereby grants Advanced Media System Inc. a provisional authority to install, operate, and maintain a digital TV broadcasting system…using Channel 16…for 18 months,” NTC declared.
