Gerald Anderson gave Julia Barretto a Rolex watch, the same brand Kim Chiu gave to him when they were still an item, during their Christmas Eve celebration captured in a YouTube video aired on Sunday, January 9.
Anderson spent Christmas Eve with the Barretto family. As seen in the video–both spent their Noche Buena, as prepared by Marjorie Barretto.
After opening her gift, Barretto revealed that it was her first Rolex watch, a luxury Swiss brand given by Anderson.
Barreto said, “This is my first Rolex.”
In a Gandang Gabi Vice episode aired on YouTube on May 7, 2017, Anderson shared that he received various expensive gifts, including a Rolex watch from Chiu when they were still together.
Vice Ganda asked Gerald: “Eh si Kim, ano yung pinakagalanteng nai-regalo niya?”
Anderson answered: “Madami din. Madami sobra.”
The comedian then asked if he received a watch from the actress.
Vice asked: “Relo?”
Chiu responded: “Parang.. oo. Grabe diba?”
Vice told Chiu: “Kasi nga nagmahal ka.”
Anderson asked Chiu: “Bat mo binigay?”
Chiu replied: “Wala e. Mahal dati.”
Vice asked: “Anong tatak ng watch?”
Andeeson said: “Binigyan ako ng Rolex.”
Anderson and Chiu’s relationship started when they became housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 2006.
Both became one of the it-love teams in showbiz, known as Kimerald.
They were together on and off-screen, but they ended their relationship in 2010.
In 2016, they even celebrated the 10th anniversary of their love team and starred in the television series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin the following year.
