On March 31, ‘1st.One’ Member Max or Carlo Edwin Fernandez II got emotional while recalling how dancing saved his life.

During the media conference for ‘1st.One’s contract signing with Warner Music Philippines, Max tried to hold back his emotions while detailing how he loved dancing.

“I love dancing po talaga more than singing because for me dancing po talaga is my savior.

He then admitted that he had a happy-go-lucky mindset when he was younger.

Max also revealed that his family didn’t support his passion at first.

He then detailed how he proved his family wrong with his success as a dancer.

‘Yun po talaga ‘yung motto ko sa life na, I have to prove them wrong kasi ‘yung sayaw wala kang mararating diyan.

“Dance will never take you anywhere, but look at me, nakapag-compete po ako ng international ng di lang po once, di lang po twice, kung di mga four or five times na po dahil po sa motto ko po na prove them wrong.”

‘1st.One‘ launched as a PPop group in 2020 with its core members Alpha, J, ACE, Max, Jason, and Joker. Unfortunately, they encountered difficulties amid the pandemic.

Now, the boy group signed with the music label Warner Music Philippines, cementing their place in the music industry.
