Aicelle Santos gave a subtle remark on the joint press conference of the presidential and vice presidential candidates Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, Senator Panfilo Lacson, former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales, Doc Willie Ong, and Senate President Tito Sotto III.
On April 17, Santos questioned the essence of the joint press conference.

On Sunday, the presidential and vice-presidential candidates announced that they are not backing out of their candidacy.
They have revealed that a political camp has requested for them to step down, stating that the said offer was from the camp of their opponent Vice President Leni Robredo.
“If they’re calling for supreme sacrifice, ‘di ba the yellow pink is calling for supreme sacrifice katulad nung sinasabi ni Sec. Norberto Gonzales, when somebody talked to him. Eh di ang pinaka (the most) supreme sacrifice if you’re not a good player to win then you pay the supreme sacrifice you withdraw. Withdraw, be a hero,” Domagoso asked Robredo to withdraw from the presidential race.
However, Lacson explained that he and his vice-presidential candidate Tito Sotto are not calling for any candidate to withdraw.
“We have to clarify, kaming dalawa ni Senate president, precisely sa press con na ito, we’re not asking anybody to withdraw, ayaw din namin na mananawagan sila na mag-withdraw kami in the same manner,” Lacson said.
