Celebrity host Boy Abunda reminded everyone that it’s not right to unfriend someone who voted for a different candidate in a Tiktok video on Thursday, April 14.
Abunda gave this reminder as the May 2022 elections are fast approaching.
“Para sa akin, it is not right to unfriend someone simply because that someone is voting for a different candidate. Kasi that’s precisely what election is all about. This is all about democracy, iba’t iba ang pinipili natin,” Abunda said.
“I don’t understand that. Kasi matatapos ang eleksyon saan mapupunta ang ating pagkakaibigan?” the celebrity host said.
“Some friendships have been built over the years. Alam ko mainit ang panahon; mainit ang eleksyong ito; may mga pinaninindigan tayo. Pero ‘wag din natin kalimutan na may mga relasyon; may mga pagiging magkaibigan na mahalaga.
“Dadaan ang eleksyon pero ang ating mga relasyon ay mananatili. So be cautious, be careful. Think about it carefully. Value your friends as we value our candidates para masaya ang buhay,” he added.
“Let’s learn how to live with our differences.
“So don’t unfriend anyone just because you have two different choices of candidates,” he stated.
