Jimmy Bondoc supports the presidential run of Isko Moreno Domagoso

Singer-songwriter Jimmy Bondoc expressed his support for the presidential run of Isko Moreno Domagoso.

In a lengthy Facebook post on April 5, he provided detailed reasons to cast his vote for Isko even though he claimed that Bongbong Marcos had the highest chance of winning.

“Kahit mukhang huli na ako sa party, nais ko lang po officially i-announce kay ISKO po ako sa pagka-pangulo. Ngunit sana basahin niyo muna kung bakit.

“To my friends from the yellow/pink, wag niyo na sana basahin ito, unless you are considering ISKO.

“Kung BBM supporter ka, congratulations! Halos sigurado na po si BBM, and I believe that only God makes this possible. God alone. I hear that he is a good and smart man. I pray that if he wins, he leads this country with the cleanest heart,” he said.

Jimmy said that his three main reasons for voting for Isko are “election-related dynamics, political, and personal.”

In the latter part of his post, Jimmy encouraged the people to avoid making political noises as he claimed that BBM was already set to win.

“All in all, this is my humble analysis, by way of sharing: Mananalo po siguro si BBM. We should thank God for this. We should stop taking part in the noise.

“We should realize that we are being “encouraged” to make political noise by political operators. We are often fooled that we make noise because of our principles. But seldom is this true.”

But even though he said that BBM would win the presidential elections, he would still vote for Isko.

“Despite the high BBM numbers, my vote for ISKO is a conscience vote,
coupled with a FAINT HOPE that we might still make a NEW name win.
And because even a Second place win will make the voice of the people clearer,” he said.

Jimmy Bondoc is currently the vice president for community relations of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
