Roces was born on July 28, 1941. She would’ve celebrated her 81st birthday this July. Her spouse, the King of Philippine Movies, Fernando Poe Jr. passed away on December 14, 2004.
The Queen of Philippines movies worked on over 130 films through out her career and starred in iconic roles such as Ang Daigdig Ko’y Ikaw, Gumising Ka Maruja, Patayin Mo sa Sindak si Barbara, and Mano Po.
Her most recent role is Lola Flora in the longest-running Kapamilya actions series starring Coco Martin, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, an homage to her late husband.
