On May 6, Kapamilya director Mae Cruz-Alviar admitted that she felt excited and pressured about ABS-CBN’s partnership with Netflix for 2 Good 2 Be True.
At the media conference for KathNiel’s series 2 Good 2 Be True, Cruz-Alviar expressed gratitude for the partnership between the two media companies.
“Of course, excited. Next, pressured, and then next, grateful. So parang it is a roller coaster of emotions, but I think ‘yung ano doon is gratitude. Gratitude that we are given this opportunity to show what we’ve done to other people.”
She then revealed that the partnership happened during the mid-production of 2 Good 2 Be True.
“It happened along the way kasi, we’ve been working with this for more than a year na, I mean, pre-production and production phase. So, it just happened along the way. I just learned about it.”
She then echoed Kathryn Bernardo’s statement about the partnership opening up opportunities for Pinoy content creators.
“Grateful with the opportunity to open doors, not just for us, as Kathryn said earlier, but also for the company and also content creators from the Philippines.”
She then described the partnership as a new beginning for the Philippine entertainment industry.
“This is like a beginning, a new beginning, and we’re really grateful for this opportunity.”
