Tuesday Vargas, Dasuri Choi, and Kim de Leon on Monday, May 16, were overjoyed to know that Bubble Gang will showcase their respective comedic geniuses.
The three, including Faith Da Silva, have been added to the show’s cast as part of its new programming.
“You know, Bubble Gang is a legacy show. To be part of this stellar cast is such an honor for us,” said Vargas during the show’s virtual media conference.
The 39-year old comedian added, “Bukod sa excited akong magtrabaho ulit, gusto ko talagang maging bahagi ng Bubble Gang.
As an actress with a lot of experience, Vargas wanted to grow and share her energy with her young co-actors.
I want to be able to learn from my cast members, my directors, and my fellow production people.”
Choi, on the other hand, expects a lot of learnings in Bubble Gang. As a Korean, she considers it a new and challenging turn in her career.
“Sobrang saya ko po. New challenge para sa akin and experience for me. In-expect ko po na I will learn a lot of things from Bubble Gang. New family ko po kasi ang Bubble Gang so super excited po ako. Since halos lahat ng naka-work ko before, comfortable din po ako sa Bubble Gang. Sana tuluy-tuloy na ito.”
Meanwhile, de Leon admitted that the gag show was a “core memory” for him, being a fan of it at an early age.
He added, “It’s an honor po na kayo ang kasabay ko, kayong dalawa (Choi and Vargas).”
It is also an achievement for de Leon, who just entered showbusiness in 2019.
How’s the working experience?
Vargas said that she is still in disbelief, from only watching it on television to becoming one of its cast members. As far as her preparation, the comedian explained that she always gives her best in every project she is in.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala. I was left in disbelief na yung pinapanuod ko lang dati, na tawang-tawa ako, eto mayroon akong pagkakataon para makaambag.
“Yung research na nangyari is in any piece of material naman talaga, it will come organically.
She was also thankful that Bubble Gang allowed her to study the different types of people.
“So salamat kasi it’s really a study on different types of people when you enter the Bubble Gang system. Bubble talaga siya.”
Choi, being a Korean, admitted she researched about the show. It even surprised her to know that her father knew about Bubble Gang.
“Nag-research po ako. Kasi siyempre bilang Korean, I didn’t grow up here. So parang hindi masiyadong aware sa Bubble Gang show.
“So I searched and asked sa mga Pinoy friends ko. They were surprised na nasa Bubble Gang na ako.
She is also excited to put a mark as one of the cast members of the gag show.
“Gusto ko talagang maka-contribute sa show bilang Dasuri. All about learning, experience, and bonding ang goal ko dito. Kaya looking forward po ako with Bubble Gang family.”
De Leon, on the other hand, was overwhelmed with how things work on set. But he felt welcomed and is eager to start sharing positive vibes with their viewers.
“Sobrang nakaka-overwhelmed in a good way. Kasi wala pa akong masiyadong experience of course. Sobrang welcoming naman nilang lahat.
“Sobrang saya pala nila talaga actually. Though iyon nga, medyo hindi pa ako sanay. Parang medyo nanliliit pa ako pero I’m getting there.
