Breadwinner Bea Alonzo emphasizes mental health, physical health

She wanted to achieve such a goal provided that she is a breadwinner.

Kapuso actress and newest ambassador of Century Tuna Bea Alonzo on Friday, June 3, stressed how important having a healthy lifestyle is to be able to live longer.

She wanted to achieve such a goal provided that she is a breadwinner.

“I’m a breadwinner and gusto kong mabuhay ng matagal. Lalo na ngayon na we’re facing challenging times. Kailangan talaga na healthy ka na kahit may virus na lumalaganap, alam mo na hindi ka agad-agad makakapitan,” the actress said during the media launch.

Alonzo added, “Because you have a healthy lifestyle; you know you work out almost every day; you know that you eat right, and you know you’re taking care of your body. Kahit man lang yon, somehow, alam mo na you did your part.”

Moreover, the seasoned artist noted that it is not just physical health that matters but also mental health.

“I think mental health is just as important as physical health.”

When it comes to leading an active lifestyle, Alonzo discovered that it makes her happier, and glowing.

“Parang feeling ko, kapag mayroon akong routine, like three times, four times, five times a week ako mag-workout, somehow, dahil lumalabas ang seratonin, happy ako. Kapag alam ko that I’m eating right, parang ‘diba parang lumalabas ‘yung—parang feeling mo sumusunod ‘yung skin mo, lahat eh. When you’re not eating too much junk, you know that you feel good. So parang ‘yung mindset mo mas nagiging klaro. Parang feeling ko importante iyon lalo na sa panahon ngayon.”

Meanwhile, as the new face of Century Tuna Superbods, the actress shared that it was a dream come true for her.

“To be honest, I was really excited no’ng nalaman ko na they’re getting me as their new ambassador. Kasi it’s always been my dream to represent Century Tuna.”

It also urged her to be the best version of herself, working out, without sacrificing her mental health.

“Kaya nang malaman ko, talagang nag-workout ako, of course, I want to eat right. Because I wanted to represent the brand, and myself, the best way I can without compromising syempre my mental health.”

Alonzo is accompanied by fellow Kapuso star Alden Richards as this year’s Century Tuna’s fit and healthy lifestyle representatives.
