In a facebook post on Thursday, June 9, Darryl Yap vowed to file a complaint against a netizen who lambasted him and his Maid in Malacañang project.
The director shared a screenshot of a post from a netizen named Kim Constante.
He denied the accusations of the netizen against him.
The netizen wrote, “Simula na ng History Revisionism! Let’s go! Kung supporter ka ng pedophile-disrespectful-fake news peddler director na ‘to, paki unfriend na ko. Thanks!”
“Hi Kim, thank you for showering my upcoming film with raging emotions, your investment of attention will surely profit my movie; but I would like to correct you, 3 points. 1. I am not a Pedophile 2. I am not a Fake News Peddler 3. I am not to Revise the History,” Yap explained.
Yap also asked about the home and work addresses of the netizen from her friends.
“Now, like what you did, let me appeal to your friends, I need the address of Kim— where she resides and where she works, I am just gonna make her realize what is really disrespectful,” he added.
In a screenshot shared by Yap, Constante said she is sorry for criticizing Yap. She also added that she has deleted her post about him.
“Hi Direk. Sorry if I offended you in any way. I’m just a normal citizen sharing my thoughts and I didn’t expect na it will escalate to this,” said Constante.
“The threat and comments i’m receiving from your followers are soo crazy. Nakakaloka. I immediately took down the post na. The post is not even public. Im willing to make amends to fix this,” she wrote.
“Again, I apologize. I hope we settle this privately.”
But Yap said he will surely take legal actions against her.
“Kim, idedemanda kita. Pangako,” Yap said.
It was on Thursday, May 19 when Yap shared his project concept, Maid in Malacañang. The director said he is planning to present his project concept to VIVA Films.
