On June 6, The Fake Life replaced Artikulo 247 in the GMA Network Afternoon Prime lineup.
It earned a 6.0% for its pilot episode and ranked 9th in the rating chart of AGB Nielsen.
The next day, it dropped to the 10th with a 5.4% rating.
On June 8, it tied with another Kapuso drama Love You Stranger in the 7th-8th spot with a 5.7% rating.
On June 9, it dropped to the 9th-10th spot, also tied with another Kapuso drama Apoy Sa Langit with a 5.8% rating.
It ended its first airing week in the 10th spot as its rating dropped to 5.5%.
With these figures, The Fake Life failed to sustain the final ratings of its predecessor Artikulo 247, which concluded in the 6-7th rank, tied with ABS-CBN’s ‘2 Good 2 Be True’ with a 7.4% rating.
However, its pilot week is similar to Artikulo 247, which earned 6.1% for its pilot on March 7, and fluctuated in the #9 and #10 spots during its first week.
The Fake Life features the story of Onats (Ariel Rivera) and Cindy (Beauty Gonzales), who were childhood friends that went to separate paths. Years later, their paths crossed again, and the two friends built romance and eventually built their family.
However, Cindy’s former lover, Mark (Sid Lucero), returned to reveal dark secrets and expose lies that ruined their relationship. With this, Onats started to live a fake life.
Living a fake life means living in the past days and constantly being haunted by history.
The Fake Life also stars Tetchie Agbayani, Rina Reyes, Faye Lorenzo, Jenny Miller, Saviour Ramos, and Carlos Dala. With special participation of Bea Binene, Kristoffer Martin, Jake Vargas, and Candy Pangilinan.
It is helmed by Adolf Alix Jr. and airs weekly on the GMA Network Afternoon Prime after Raising Mamay.
