On June 6, comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto addressed her ‘around-the-world’ appearances during the campaign rallies for the 2022 elections.
At the media conference for her upcoming sitcom, Tols, Quinto said she only recalled receiving calls from her handler about the appearances when she arrived in the Philippines.
She also shared her experience campaigning during the 2022 elections while hinting at her plans for the 2028 elections.
She recalled seeing her friends entering politics when she returned to the Philippines.
“Parang ang mga artista parang pampulitika talaga ang trabaho eh all day all night. ‘Yun nga lang ang batas. Kaibigan ko, lahat, nasa pulitika na eh. So sabi ko, ‘Aba mahiyain sila, pero noong naging politician sila.'”
She then talked a bit about her citizenship, noting that her priority is the Philippines.
