On June 8, Kapamilya actor Sam Milby said he remained a Kapamilya thanks to ABS-CBN putting out the best TV shows.
During the media conference for A Family Affair, Milby cited reasons he chose to stay with the Kapamilya Network for 16 years.
“I remain as a Kapamilya, one–because hindi pwedeng i-deny, I truly believe that ABS put out the best quality, the best kwento, the best shows. And I’ve been just blessed, and ABS continues to bless me over the years.
“I think mag-sixteen years na ako business and the fact na nandito pa ako, may trabaho pa ako, I’m so blessed, I’m so thankful, I still have work, and I am a part of this /amazing show.”
He then expressed his hopes of landing an award-winning role or project in the U.S.
“Honestly, to keep going. Sana balang araw may role na gagawin ko na nomination or for an acting role. Kahit isang beses din na pwedeng magtrabaho sa States, I would love that also. But at the same time, those are the things that I would love, but I’m also content.”
In 2005, Milby entered showbiz through commercial ads. He then joined Pinoy Big Brother, which led to him becoming an ABS-CBN music artist and with his first movie Close To You. One of his most iconic roles was through Maging Sino Ka Man in 2006.
Now, Milby takes on the role of Dave in the upcoming series, A Family Affair, premiering soon on ABS-CBN platforms.
The series also includes up-and-coming Kapamilya dramatic actress Ivana Alawi and Kapuso stars Gerald Anderson, Jameson Blake, and Jake Ejercito.
