After three long years, one of the most anticipated pre-pageant activities of Binibining Pilipinas has made a comeback at the City of Firsts!
Decked in beautifully designed swimsuits and headpieces, and riding in top-down cars provided by the Miata Club Philippines, the 40 candidates of this year’s Bb. Pilipinas toured around the City of Firsts last July 23 for the Grand Parade of Beauties.
Joining the candidates are the reigning Bb. Pilipinas queens – Bb. Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold, Ms. Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Obenita, Ms. Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Samantha Panlilio, and Bb. Pilipinas 2021 runner-up Meiji Cruz.
The swimsuit worn by the Binibinis was designed by renowned veteran stylist, Justine Aliman under her brand Dia Ali. Aliman was formally named the swimsuit designer of the 2022 Bb. Pilipinas last May. She has earlier stated that the inspiration for this year’s swimsuits are the style and colors used by Ms. Universe 2018 Catriona Gray when she competed internationally, and the vibrance and dynamism of Pinoy Pop’s (PPOP) onstage costumes.
The festivity started at Novotel Manila Araneta City, then passed through Gen. MacArthur Ave., EDSA and Aurora Blvd. The parade went back inside the City of Firsts for another round and eventually ended at the Gateway Mall Pavillion.
“We know that Bb. Pilipinas fans missed our Grand Parade of Beauties that is why we are more than thrilled that we are able to bring it back this year. This has been a great opportunity for the fans to see their favorite candidates up-close, and I’m sure our Binibinis had a great time showing their gratitude to the throngs of supporters who waited for them,” Marjorie Go, AVP for Marketing of Araneta City, said.
As we draw closer to the Grand Coronation Night on July 31, one of the most anticipated events is the airing of the pageant primer which will happen on July 25 and streamed live through KUMU. The Road to the Crown: Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Primer will show the journey of the 40 Bb. Pilipinas candidates as they vie for one of the four crowns that will be handed out during the coronation.
Meanwhile, you can also catch the 58th Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night on July 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum starting 10 p.m. Book your tickets now through TicketNet or watch the live broadcast on TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, iWantTFC, and the Binibining Pilipinas official YouTube Channel. The event will once again be hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves. The duo made history last year as the first all-female tandem to host the country’s most prestigious pageant.
