During the Question and Answer episode of her YouTube vlog aired on Saturday, July 9, Ciarra Sotto shared advice for those whose partners cheated.
This was her response to a netizen who asked how she coped up after being cheated by her partner.
Sotto said she would let a guy leave if he cheated on her.
She said, “I can’t deal with cheating. If the guy cheats, goodbye. Bigay n’yo na sa kanila kung ayaw niya sa’yo. Kung ayaw na nila sa’yo, bye!”
“Kung gusto na nila umalis, ihatid sa pintuan palabas. Sipain mo pa! Joke lang!”
It was in July 2021 when she and her husband Jojo Oconer got separated because of a third party. They had a child named Crixus. Sotto said she had forgiven Oconer, and they are now friends.
She shared, “We’re friends, we’re really, really good friends. As in friends that, you know, we can see each other anytime, call each other anytime. Napatawad ko na siya… It’s really hard if you harbor unforgiveness in your heart. I mean, when you forgive someone, you do it for yourself, it’s not for the person…It doesn’t get the person off the hook.”
“I mean, whatever that person does, it’s already his problem… yeah, it’s always best to forgive and I do not want my son to grow up knowing he has a very unforgiving mom… we’re friends…”
The actress said she might welcome her husband as a guest in future vlogs.
Sotto is the daughter of former Senate President Tito Sotto III and actress Helen Gamboa.
