Ruffa Gutierrez’s camp has released an official statement regarding the allegations of the former firing her two household helpers without paying their salaries after former COMELEC commissioner and now P3PWD Partylist Congresswoman Rowena Guanzon tweeted about the situation.
On July 11, via Vincentiment’s Facebook page, Atty. Bryant Gamonnac Casiw announced their side of the situation.
“Contrary to fake news peddled on social media, our client NEITHER FIRED the helpers NOR REFUSED TO PAY their remaining pay for six days. It was the helpers who quit and insisted that they leave the house immediately without complying with clearance requirements of the village association.”
Casiw stated that the rumors of Gutierrez firing her two household helpers without paying their six days’ worth of salary are not true.
“This fake news is a black propaganda/smear campaign against our client as she is playing the character of Former First Lady Imelda Marcos in an upcoming movie.”
Casiw said that Gutierrez is planning to take legal actions against those who are spreading unverified information about her.
“This domestic issue could be resolved privately. Despite what happened, our client wishes the helpers well. Our client will explore all legal actions and remedies available, especially against those spreading unverified information/fake news,” the statement continued.

On Twitter, Annabelle Rama, Gutierrez’s mom, defended her daughter against a rumormonger, saying to mind their own business.
