On June 24, at the media conference for GMA Sparkle’s Sparkada, the young Kapuso artists highlighted their preparations for the upcoming GMA Thanksgiving Gala.
Cheska Fausto expressed her excitement with the event while hinting at her black and white motif.
“It has something to do with black and white and is like vintage, I guess. So ‘yun it will revolve around that–parang classic look. And, super excited din ako kasi parang first-time din namin to attend this kind of event, altogether.”
Roxie Smith highlighted her Audrey Hepburn look and admitted she’s excited to see everyone.
“I love the theme since I am an old soul, and I really love everything that’s vintage. And in the past, I’ve been doing–copying Audrey Hepburn looks, so that would be nice to be able to bring that to the ball.
“And, exciting knowing na–I actually heard chismis na we’re going to enter all-together, and that is kind of epic. Nakaka-excite lang.”
Caitlyn Stave alluded to her plan of experimenting with her look for the gala.
“We can really experiment with ourselves, to be the best version of our selves–that’s so exciting. And I’m really excited with the process of getting ready. That would be so much fun.
“I really don’t know what to expect–this is my first ever like big event na ganon.”
Kirsten Gonzales noted their group’s old-Hollywood theme for the gala.
“Since this will be our first event po namin–with my Sparkada po, and with other artists po, kinakabahan ako and at the same time kasi, nakaka-excite kasi you have to be the best version of yourself and doon ninyo po mapapakita ‘yung–sa theme po kasi it’s very exciting, kasi it’s old Hollywood. Very classy, very elegant.”
Vanessa Peña said she felt happy at the thought of bonding with her fellow Sparkadas.
Lauren King stated that she felt excited to see her fellow Sparkadas.
Anjay Anson compared the upcoming event to High School Prom.
Tanya Ramos mentioned that she wanted to explore the styles of the past generations through her attire for the gala.
“Ako naman po, really excited kasi, imagine first ever event with my Sparkada. So ako rin po excited na ako sa theme, sa style, kasi gusto ko rin po i-explore ‘yung style, and I want to explore the past generations.”
Kim Perez revealed they’re already working with designers for their GMA Thanksgiving Gala attire.
“Sobrang-sobrang excited kasi ang alam ko ang una naming, parang sobrang-sobrang close na kami parang nakaka-excite, so preparations naman ‘yung ginagawa, may collaborations with the designer. May approval pa.
Jeff Moses attested to Perez’s statement about them having designers to work with for the Kapuso event.
“Ako din, excited to be with my Sparkada sa isang malaking event and also po I’m looking forward to meet co-stars sa GMA [Network] and mga people in showbiz, para magkaroon din ng bond and makilala ko din sila personally.
Earlier, GMA Network sent their invitations to their artists for the celebration of the media company’s 72nd year.
As for Sparkada, the Kapuso group includes young artists hand-picked by star builder Johnny M Manahan to be a part of GMA Sparkle’s Sparkada.
Other Sparkada members include Michael Sager, Vince Maristela, Dilek Montemayor, Raheel Bhyria, and Sean Lucas.
